Meeting to get Barnard Castle Business Guild back on track

Posted on December 01, 2016 by Unknown
BARNARD Castle Business Guild may soon be up and running again.
The group, which was created to lobby on behalf of town businesses, has not met for a number of months for a number of reasons including several members stepping down.
A meeting is being held on Tuesday, December 13, to take the group forward again.
Neil Stokell, from the guild, said: “We now need to get new officers appointed and take the guild out of its holding position. There are also a number of projects which need to be taken forward sooner rather than later.
“To this end we have rearranged the winter meeting at which we hope to achieve a full complement of guild officers to take forward the promotion of the businesses and footfall in the town and continue to represent the wider business interests when necessary. We may also have a guest speaker at this meeting and it will be followed by the Christmas social.”
The meeting will take place at 6pm at a venue to be arranged. Anyone who wants more information can contact Mr Stokell at Shirls Shakes, on The Bank.
The guild has more than 100 members on its books.
