Bowes FC on cloud nine – Saturday sports round up

Posted on December 10, 2016 by Unknown
Bowes FC cruised through to the semi final of the Normal Wright Trophy after putting nine past a depleted Bishop Welcome at Shaw Bank.
Tommy Hutchinson scored four and Calum Tallentire hit a hat-trick in the 9-1 rout.
Not such a good day for Evenwood Town, who lost 2-1 to Willington WMC in the quarter final of the Albert Vickers Cup in an incident packed game.
In the league, Glaxo Rangers went down 3-1 away to Newton Wycliffe Navy Club.
In the Ebac Northern League, West Auckland were on the wrong end of a 6-1 hiding at the hands of local rivals Bishop Auckland.
There was no game for Barnard Castle RUFC's first team today – scheduled opponents Gateshead were involved in a cup tie.
Full sports round-up in next Wednesday's Mercury
